Table legs in the shape of an “X” are nothing new in furniture design. Classic designs like this are timeless something that we all like and appreciate. Depending on the material used, wood or steel, and the construction method, these table legs can take on many different looks; modern, craftsman, contemporary, industrial, farm & ranch, and the list goes on. When it came time to do an X-leg for an early client, we were excited to do so but we knew we had to do something different. What we came up with checked all of our boxes as metal fabricators but also gives our clients versatility within a variety of interior designs.
With regard to the manufacturing of the legs themselves, our skilled welders and our equipment guarantees that these legs are accurately welded, remaining true and square during the welding process. Each leg is made up of 13 individual components. Our state-of-the-art Demmeler – Bluco welding tables allow us to clamp all of these parts in perfect alignment while being welded. This is equipment rarely found in even the most well-equipped metal fabrication businesses, let alone in a modern steel furniture manufacturer. So while we have not seen this design of our replicated or knocked-off by others, it is probably with good reason; these legs would be very difficult to fabricate without our equipment.
