Our Weld House team is composed of different positions within the shop such as welders, finishers, painters, press operator, shipping and receiving. Each of our amazing team members are extremely important to our daily production and we all work well together. We have large and small goals that keep us all motivated through the weeks and months here at Weld House. Here at Weld House we build Modern Metal Furniture from new and recycled materials for clients around the globe.Our company believes in collaboratively building exceptional furniture for exceptional clients with an exceptional team. We, here at Weld House pride ourselves on building well fabricated products and delivering exceptional customer service. We try our best to provide a great work environment (air conditioned facility) and good tools to work with (high tolerance and calibrated machinery). Our products are made to stand the test of time fabricated from the best materials with attention to detail and quality being our highest priority.
Joel Hester, the founder of Weld House began his journey to create the Weld House we know today. It began many years ago as a hobby while working in his career in the printing industry, with a simple bed frame that Joel built for himself and a craigslist posting. Joel’s hobby turned into a reality when he moved himself and his family from Texas to Arizona in 2011. Weld House was established in 2011 as a one man shop and has grown to have a crew of eleven.
The weekly schedule at Weld House is Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm. Our typical work week is a forty hour week however we ask that our crew members be willing and able to work Saturdays when absolutely necessary.
To give you more of an understanding of our team members daily task, below is a brief description for the positions held within our team.
Positions at Weld House
Painters:
Daily tasks in automotive based painting process performed on table tops and artwork however not your typical painting process. Painting steps include but are not limited to working with new and used metal, sanding parts, application of primers, base coat paint(s) and final clear coats. Chemical and paint knowledge is required. Ability to tape and paint automotive flames, stripes, faux patinas, lowrider patterns, fades and stencils is beneficial to this position.
Welders:
MIG- A production level position that requires good understanding of how to properly set up a welder for various thickness materials to yield a relatively splatter free, clean mig weld. Most all of our MIG welds do not get ground off so a structural and aesthetically pleasing weld is a must.
TIG- Highly visible welds that must look and perform well in mild steel with both steel and silicon bronze filler wire. Working with 10ga and thinner mild steel. Ability to weld in stainless and aluminum is an advantage.
Finishers:
The Welders Helper aka Finishers position is a very important piece to our puzzle. You are not only taking the freshly welded part and turning it into something aesthetically sellable by way of grinding, deburring and orbital sanding, you are also the last point of Quality Control for our products. Finishers assist all departments in the shop with needed tasks. Tasks may include: palletizing parts, grinding, metal staining, cleaning of parts, welding prep, general shop cleanup, assisting shipping department and other tasks as needed. Your attitude and attention to detail is beneficial in this position.
Press Operator:
Operation of the Amada press, bending various materials, working efficiently with welders and communicating with management, operating the shear accurately, cleaning and organizing station/work area equipment and tooling. Journeyman press brake operator with mastery level experience in determining bend sequence of flat parts, some complicated.
Shipping & Receiving:
In this position you will pull finished products from shelves, palletize, crate and inventory shipments. You will accurately receive finished products from our powder coating vendors and package products. Attention to detail and knowledge of Weld House products is a must.

Some of our favorite clients include various interior designers both large design firms and personal interior designers. A personal favorite part of the job is seeing our products in their forever home and knowing our clients absolutely love our handcrafted, American made, custom products crewed by our talented, thriving staff!
